Office Visits

APPOINTMENTS

In order to maximize the benefits of your treatment, we suggest you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to relax and settle in. If your treatment is delayed due to late arrival, it will end as scheduled so that the next patient isn't delayed. If you arrive later than 20 minutes your appointment may need to be rescheduled. If for some reason your acupuncturist is running late, you will receive a full treatment. However, we do operate on schedule most of the time.

Please come to your appointment with a little something in your stomach. You do not need to have a full mean before your session, just don’t come on an empty tummy. Gowns are provided to change into if needed.  

At your first visit, expect to stay for 1 hour and 30 minutes to allow time for a detailed health history, physical exam and acupuncture treatment. Follow up visits last approximately 1 hour.

We accept cash, VISA, M/C, American Express, and local pre-printed checks.

ENVIRONMENT CONSIDERATIONS

As a courtesy to our guests, please keep your voices low, turn cell phones and pagers off or to vibrate. We also suggest you do not bring small children with you unless they are the patient.

MEDICAL INSURANCE

We do accept some insurance plans. Please call to inquire about your options. For the plans we do not accept, upon request we will provide you with a completed superbill form to submit to your insurance company. This is a universal form used by insurance companies to provide all the information needed for insurance reimbursement. All you need to do is fill in your policy number and reimbursement is sent to you directly.

If you are unsure whether acupuncture is covered by your insurance policy, it is a good idea to call your insurance company and check. Let them know the name and location of the acupuncturist you will be seeing. It is also helpful to ask how many visits per year you are allowed, and how much per visit you will be reimbursed. 

CANCELLATION POLICY

We do require a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling to avoid being charged for your appointment.

*Regular Fees: New Patient $150
*Follow up visits: $85
*Pediatrics: $65  

HOME VISIT FEES (not valid through Sage Wellness Center)

The cost for this service is $120 per visit plus mileage when outside the service area, which includes a complimentary stress relief treatment for the caregiver. A second full acupuncture treatment for the caregiver or additional family member is half-price (when administered during the same visit).

DISCOUNT PACKAGES

In order to help with financial concerns we offer a discount for those who would like to purchase a series, or package, of acupuncture sessions. Payment is due in full at the beginning of the series.

*Series of 6 visits
Regularly $575. If paid in advance $500 ($75 savings).

*Series of 8 visits
Regularly $745. If paid in advance $650 ($95 savings).

*Series of 10 visits
Regularly $915. If paid in advance $800 ($115 savings).

*Fertility/IVF Patients
Series of 8 visits (twice a week for four weeks)
Regularly $745. If paid in advance only $650 ($95 savings).

*Series of 8 visits (twice a week for four weeks). Plus 2 additional (day before and after transfer) total of ten visits. 
Regularly $910. If paid in advance $800 ($115 savings).
