Biography

Mia Blomquist is a licensed acupuncturist, herbalist and primary health care provider dedicated to providing the highest quality natural health care. She holds a 4-year masters degree from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco and completed her clinical residency at both the Haight-Ashbury free medical clinic and the Women’s Community Clinic. Mia is also a member of California State Oriental Medical Association and the American Pregnancy Association.

Mia has advanced training in the treatment of women’s health, mental and emotional disorders and internal medicine. Mia believes it is important to bridge the best of what western and eastern medicine have to offer to find the best outcome and often works closely with your physician or psychotherapist. She helps her patients by combining traditional Eastern medicine with dietary and lifestyle recommendations, as well other healing modalities to create an individualized treatment plan to treat the root of your health concerns, not just the symptoms. 

She currently lives in Redwood City with her husband and their little dog, Quique. She also has a BA in Religious studies and loves to learn more about all the things in life that you cannot see or touch, but are nonetheless there. Chinese medicine is one of those things! In her free time, she loves to hike, cook, swim, bask in the sun, study Chinese medicine and spend as much time in nature as possible.
